Annual Inter-Society Officer's Workshop

The Officers (current and incoming) of all our PSEC member societies are invited to come and exchange ideas with officers from other engineering societies. This is a free event for all PSEC member societies, and a great way to exchange ideas between society officers. Larger societies with separate interest groups – may want to send an officer representative from each group.
After a brief PSEC overview of the planned events, there will be three 20 minute discussions (with a discussion leader assigned to each table ahead of time). There will be a 20 minute break for snacks & beverages (being provided free), and a brief verbal summary of all the table discussions - at the end.
If you would like to help with the meeting room set-up, that begins at 10 am. The event will conclude at 1:30 pm.
The tables will be discussing three general topic areas each session (so you can attend all three table discussions):
- Communications Web Sites, E-mail Newsletters and improving information flow to all members
- Education K - 12, High School, Volunteering, Continuing Professional Education
- Programs Types of meetings, format for events, meeting locations & schedules
Please bring some example items to show from your society (like newsletters, program topics, web site outline, etc.).

Inter-Society Officer's Workshop
Each year PSEC holds a Workshop to assist engineering society officers in doing a better job of managing
their societies’ local engineering chapter. The goals of this Workshop are to assist all the member
societies' officers in improving their communications, programs, and other chapter
activities.
Most societies hold officers workshops that cover the duties and responsibilities of their respective officers in their society. Most of these workshops are designed to assure compliance with their chapter’s Goals and Bylaws.
The PSEC Inter-Society Officers Workshop is different in that it is designed to let the various engineering societies share their best practices to help each local society improve the way their officers deal with similar issues.
All local engineering society officers are urged to take the time out of your busy schedules to attend the PSEC Inter-Society Officers Workshop where you will learn what other engineering societies have done to improve their respective performance in meeting their goals.
The officers workshop is generally held every year in the Summer and is free to all PSEC member society officers.
