U.W. Engineering Open House

Engineering Open House is great for everyone: teachers, kids, students, alumni, prospective college transfers, friends and family with emphasis on students in grades 4-12. Enjoy departmental exhibits, hands-on activities, student and faculty presentations and much more -- a fun and interactive way to explore your options in engineering and science at the University of Washington, College of Engineering!

PSEC generally has a booth display at the Open House so please visit us if you get a chance. Also, if you are a part of an engineering education program, you can request your own table display. The UW is always happy to have additional industry participation.

To request exhibitor space at the Open House go to www.engr.washington.edu/openhouse/exhibitor-formmail.html.

Your engineering society would probably find a warm reception with a related engineering department - if they wanted to provide an engineering display to go along with the department's planned displays. Contact the specific engineering department before signing up as an exhibitor (www.engr.washington.edu/openhouse/ohcommittee.html). Most of the exhibits shown at the PSEC Engineers Fair would be well received.

Company displays are particularly welcomed as well - as long as they feature engineering related products or services. Kenworth has provided a truck cab in the past, as have other manufacturers. Visual displays and product displays seem to work best for the K-12 attendees.

To volunteer to help in our PSEC display on either day (Friday or Saturday) or to ask any questions, contact Steve Snelling at the stephen.r.snelling@boeing.com or (425) 342-4121. Friday is the toughest day to get full coverage on and it is the busiest day with student volumes.
